New Year’s Eve in Sacramento. New Year’s Eve in Sacramento is full of things to do. From nightclubs and restaurants, to the New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular (Annual New Year’s Eve celebration in Old Sacramento). Sacramento’s best New Year’s Eve tradition lights up the skies above Old Sacramento with bright colors and flashes during the New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular. This free celebration is open to all residents and features activities for the whole family to enjoy including children’s programming, live music, dinner specials, hot food and drink vendors and a variety of entertainment.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Sacramento (Annual event in March in Old Sacramento). Hundreds of colorful marchers dressed in green, along with Irish and Highland dancers, pipe and drum bands, historic re-enactors and a variety of cultural organizations, all join together to be a part of the Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Easter in Sacramento. Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt (Annual event in April). Celebrate a Sacramento tradition with a FREE Easter egg hunt, carnival games, and a fundraising breakfast benefiting the work of the Kiwanis in Sacramento! The East Sacramento Midtown Kiwanis Club will serve breakfast on the Saturday before Easter with all the fixings, including unlimited pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. Memorial Day Weekend in Sacramento. Chalk It Up! The three-day event draws 30,000+ people each year and features more than 200 artists creating chalk art masterpieces on the sidewalks, live music by more than two dozen acts, hands-on art activities for children and much more.Chalk It Up! to Sacramento is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The three-day event raises money for grants programs to fund youth arts education programs in all disciplines in local schools and in the community.

Thanksgiving in Sacramento. Run to Feed the Hungry (Annual 10k and 5k Run/Walk on Thanksgiving Morning). Run to Feed the Hungry has become an annual holiday tradition for countless area families. Beginning in 1994 with only 800 runners, the event now ranks as Sacramento Valley's largest annual fun run/walk. In 2008, over 28,000 participants attended and met their goal of raising $750,000 for Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
